Instead of using the aluminum oxide that comes with the epoxy-coat product I picked up a bottle of SharkGrip and mixed that in with my clear top-coat. It's not as abrasive or difficult to clean up as the aluminum oxide but still helps maintain traction. I did put a couple pinches of aluminum oxide on the step into my house, but that's it. In my opinion the stuff is too sharp and will shred your knees if you're on the ground or a mop if your cleaning the place up.
